That
flub, flub, flub, flub
is so unpleasant.
From a distance, in profile, it actually has nice proportions. I’d be much more interested if it was, like, 5/8ths the size (
those are TWENTY-THREE inch wheels!!
)

Whatever that white thing is gives me Corrado vibes and that’s a good thing.

I actually saw a Urus in traffic on the 101 in the Valley the other day. I was too slow to get a pic, but giggled because the car is a lot smaller than the norm for the category— so “The Rich Guy” who owned it had put a luggage carrier (body color matched) up on a roof rack...
Looked hilarious. Like it defeated the whole purpose of owning a Sporty Sport Utility with limited Utility.
Within 5 minutes I also saw the Bentley SUV, which IS of ample girth. No roof luggage on that beast.

Those Bentleys are actually shockingly well proportioned and cool looking for what they are.

The Urus is better looking imho... it’s actually the best looking of the four in my mind....

The Quattro Concept is just the best...
Real question is, RSQ8 or RS6 Avant?
Personally, I’m going RS6

Man, does that look good.

I was so bummed that they didn’t make it.

Oh, same here, for sure. In purple. =)

For reals?

eh, I’ve seen a few of those. They’re so aggressively bland.

Sometimes, the world needs more “bland”.

The Audi's grille is too big, the Bentayga's back end is a mess, the Cayenne Coupe is too bloated, and the Urus is sharp and brilliant.
![]() 09/24/2020 at 14:23 |

Yeah, I actually LIKE the lines on the Urus in the flesh— and, compared to first-gen efforts like X5 and Cayenne, I think it’s a pretty good first try.
HOWEVER, when you have to put a big, ugly wart of a luggage bin on the roof? Kinda ruins the effect, especially as it makes obvious the lack of space inside.
I’m sure it goes like stink, though.

VAG really does have you covered if you want something big and fast.
![]() 09/24/2020 at 14:35 |

If you say so. This just doesn’t appeal to me at all.
![]() 09/24/2020 at 14:41 |

It looks cheap and tacky. Like a bloated civic type R
![]() 09/24/2020 at 14:44 |

Same to my eye.
![]() 09/24/2020 at 14:50 |

I *think* it’s the first passenger car on the market with factory 23-inch wheels, which is somewhat surprising considering the amount of bloated SUVs already with factory 22-inch wheels.
I wouldn’t want to shill out for those tires.

Nope!
![]() 09/24/2020 at 14:57 |
|
But I think its meant to look like that, plus the exhaust tips aren't fake and the interior is better
![]() 09/24/2020 at 14:58 |

To be honest, I think that Audi tried to make the RS look like a Q car but it failed because it's trying too hard to make it "subtle" where the lambo embraces that it is in fact a stupid, ridiculous vehicle.
![]() 09/24/2020 at 15:20 |

I don’t think Lamborghini’s supercar design language translated well to an SUV.

Show me the lie.
Yes, I spelled classified wrong.
![]() 09/24/2020 at 15:55 |

I just can't agree... Its so stupid just like any other lambo, except that you can use it to go to Ikea!
![]() 09/24/2020 at 15:57 |
|
I remember that. such a waste of an amazing design. Though it did show what was in Audi’s future, stylewise, which I guess was what it was for.
I wanted them to just make it and sell it so bad.
![]() 09/24/2020 at 15:59 |
|
I disagree. my order, just on style, would be
#1 RSQ8
#2 Porch
#3 Bentayyyy ga
#4 URUS.
I hate the Urus front end, and tolerate the rest of it.

All?
The G63 does 60 in less than 4 seconds.
![]() 09/24/2020 at 16:04 |

I still do, but that ship has sailed.
The second quattro concept was such a disappointment in comparison.

G gets a pass.
My point is, if there’s no more ground clearance than a station wagon, then it’s a station wagon.
I mean, they have the breakover angle of a Corvette........
![]() 09/24/2020 at 16:21 |

Your point is taken.
![]() 09/24/2020 at 17:09 |

For me;
1. Urus
2. Cayenne Coupe
3. Bentayga
4. Q8
Ditto with the interiors
![]() 09/24/2020 at 17:20 |
|
Nothing bigger than 17" wheels for me please.
![]() 09/24/2020 at 17:39 |
|
My taste would want a RSQ8 exterior with the Bentaygo interior, but that’s just my weirdness.
All 4 have great interiors, I have no issues with any of them.
![]() 09/24/2020 at 17:41 |
|
That’s fair, it’s actually a neat choice; I think Audi interiors are becoming too tesla-esque and the bentley interior is anti-tesla.
![]() 09/24/2020 at 17:56 |
|
Okay, the Cayenne coupe with the central exhausts is best MLBevo.
![]() 09/24/2020 at 18:23 |
|
I wasn’t a fan of these until we went and test drive one (regular Q8, not an S or RS).
It’s beautiful on the inside and the back seat is where it really shines. Tons of room. It’s definitely the roomiest of this class of thing. Whatever that is...
![]() 09/24/2020 at 18:25 |
|
Funny enough, the argument you’d probably get from a lot of folks (non-enthusiast types) is that station wagons aren’t sporty, so they wouldn’t consider them as such. Whereas Sport-Utility Vehicle almost has it right in the name.
![]() 09/24/2020 at 18:49 |

The good thing about the Q8 and also the Cayenne “Coupe” are even though they have swoopier back ends than the regular crossovers they’re based on, they still have reasonably upright rear windows for visibility, and decent enough rear headroom.
I suppose some/many people want their SUV “coupes” to be as stupid as possible, hence the hordes of much-more compromised BMW and Mercedes ones I see out in the wild. But as we all know, those are SHIT .
